About Us

A family walking back from a surf session on a Cornish-style beach at dusk

Saltfold. Where the sea folds onto the coast.

Saltfold started where most Cornish childhoods do — on the wet sand at low tide, with a board too big for you, looking out at a horizon you don't quite understand yet.

I grew up in Newquay. My sister and her family still live there. My nephews are in the water year-round — surf, snorkel, the occasional kite when the wind comes from the right place. Watching them grow up beside the Atlantic is what made this brand. The thought that there's a wider coast — places I haven't been, people I haven't met — who'd recognise the feeling of dawn light on a glassy lineup.

Saltfold is for them. The riders, the kiters, the freedivers, the swimmers. The people who walk to the cliff for the view and call it a Sunday. The people landlocked in Birmingham or Berlin or Boise who dream of Tarifa, or Croyde, or the cove they took their kids to one summer that they still remember the shape of.

We design coastal apparel for everyone the sea pulls toward.
